Former Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. hopes the relations between the Philippines and China will become stronger in the years to come.
The Ilocano politiko said this on Tuesday, June 9, which is also the Filipino-Chinese Friendship Day.
“The establishment of diplomatic relationships between the People’s Republic of China and the Republic of the Philippines laid the groundwork for cooperative and mutually beneficial interchanges for our two countries. Even in areas of conflict, it serves as the basis of engagement and resolution of what differences may arise between us,” Marcos said.
“On Filipino-Chinese Friendship Day, let us celebrate and continue to strengthen this partnership to our two countries’ mutual benefit,” he added.
