The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and the Philippine National Police (PNP) have destroyed another marijuana plantation in North Luzon.
In a police report, authorities say that over P2.3 million worth of marijuana plants were uprooted in the mountainous areas of Kibungan, Benguet and Sugpon, Ilocos Sur in a two-day operation on April 25 and 26.
Ilocos Sur Police Provincial Director Colonel Wilson L. Doromal commended his team for their continuous efforts in seizing drugs in the region.
“I would like to commend our operatives for another successful marijuana eradication. It takes a lot of patience and strenuous physical work to execute that especially that we have to hike along challenging terrains of the mountains for almost half a day, with all our gadgets and equipment, before reaching the target area,” he said.
