DPWH completes P96.5M road in Ilocos Norte

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) reported the completion of the 3.9 kilometer concrete road in Ilocos Norte that geared towards the boost of tourism and the economy of the province.

DPWH Region 1 Director Ronnel M. Tan said that the construction of the Sta. Maria – Datag – Arapang – San Isidro Barangay Road will facilitate safer and faster access to local tourist spots in the Ilocos Region.

“We are also optimistic that this new road will bolster additional livelihood services and improve the mobility of goods and services,” Tan said.

DPWH Ilocos Norte First District Engineer Glenn C. Miguel noted that this new infrastructure reduces travel time to at least 70 percent.

This P96.5 million project was funded under the 2021 General Appropriations Act (GAA).
