It is the responsibility of the Department of Health (DOH) to ensure that all healthcare workers are protected against COVID-19, Former Senator Bongbong Marcos said Tuesday amid reports of dwindling supply of personal protective equipment (PPE) for hospital staff.
Philippine College of Physicians reportedly said it has received reports that the supply of PPEs for hospital staff treating COVID-19 patients are dwindling amid the surge in coronavirus infections.
The shortage of PPE is not new as it was a problem in the country in the first few months of the pandemic back in 2020.
