Benguet Representative Eric Yap said Secretary Erwin Tulfo is a great asset to the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), as he vouches for his friend following the Commission on Appointments’ decision to defer Tulfo’s confirmation.
The North Luzon politiko heaped praises on the DSWD chief on Instagram post on Sunday, November 27, days after the CA deferred confirming Tulfo as social welfare secretary due to a previous libel conviction and his American citizenship issues.
For Yap, Tulfo has been proactive as DSWD secretary under President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.
“Sec. Tulfo is truly an asset to the PBBM administration. We are grateful that his laudable performance as a secretary is aligned with the excellent performance of duty by President Bongbong Marcos,” Yap said.
“We are confident that many more lives will be uplifted with the help of the government, especially with Sec. Tulfo at the helm of the DSWD,” he added.
