Dagupan’s heat index climbs to 54 Degrees Celsius

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) logged a heat index of 54 degrees Celsius (°C) in Dagupan City on Tuesday, May 10.

According to the weather bureau, it peaked around two in the afternoon. It added that the temperature enters “extreme danger” for residents, increasing the chances of heat stroke and other health hazards.

So far, this year’s highest heat index of 55°C was recorded in Dagupan City on May 1.
