Dagupan City has been selected as one of the best 11 smart cities and municipalities in the country.
The Department of Science and Technology (DOST) cited Dagupan for its progress as a resilient city.
Specifically, DOST cited the government’s Public Alert and Response Monitoring Center (PARMC).
An initiative of outgoing Mayor Belen Fernandez, the PARMC is tasked to disseminate information during times of calamities.
Because of its selection, the city government has been invited to showcase its best practices during the National Science and Technology Week in July.
