Vigan City Councilor Janina Medina-Fariñas was touched after finding out that the blood she had donated to the Philippine Red Cross (PRC) helped save someone’s life.
The Ilocano politiko shared the good news in an Instagram Stories post on Saturday, April 10. She shared a screenshot of a text message from the PRC saying the blood she donated was given to a patient at Metro Vigan Hospital.
“On the verge of tears reading this text message! First from knowing I made a difference in the life of somebody who truly needed it and second from wishing I had the chance to thank whose ever blood saved @cush101,” Fariñas said.
“Such a great initiative from the PRC,” she added.
