The Commission on Elections (Comelec) announced that non-winning candidates or anyone who are unsatisfied with the election results are free to file complaints or protest, in response to Pangasinan Representative Amado Espino Jr.’s reports of alleged irregularities.

In an interview, provincial election supervisor lawyer Ericson Oganiza said the commission will be accepting electoral protests after the formal proclamation of winners.

Oganiza said that through the revision of ballots or the manual recount, they may be able to check on the alleged irregularities.
