Comelec denies Gov Bernos petition vs 2013 election complaint

The Commission on Elections (Comelec) has denied with finality the petition of Abra Representative Joseph Bernos and two cops to junk the recommendation to file information against them over alleged violations of the Omnibus Election Code during the 2013 elections.

The motion of reconsideration filed by the Abra politiko and the police officers sought to reversed the resolution.

Dolores Mayor Robert Victor Seares, Jr filed the election complaint against Bernos and the cops.

Seares accused Bernos and the cops of alleged threats and intimidation, coercion of election officials and employees, as well as falsely identifying a person as a bonafide resident of a locality for the purpose of securing his registration as a voter.

The Comelec ruling said the Supreme Court did not issue any restraining order on the resolution.
