Former senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. heaped on praises on China for committing to provide aid to the Philippines once again.
The Ilocano politiko, known for his close ties with the Chinese government, said “xie xie” to Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi after the latter announced that they will be granting the Philippines P3.72 billion worth of livelihood and infrastructure projects.
China also committed to donate 500,000 doses of its COVID-19 vaccines to the Philippine government.
“The fellowship enjoyed by the People’s Republic of China and the Republic of the Philippines continues to prove its importance once more in the assistance we are receiving from China to help fight the pandemic. Xie xie!” Marcos said in a Facebook post on Monday, January 18.
