Defeated vice presidential candidate Bongbong Marcos is positive for the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
The Ilocos Norte politiko’s spokesperson, Victor Rodriguez, said Marcos received the result from the Research Institute of Tropical Medicine on March 28.
Marcos came back from Spain last March 13.
Rodriguez said Marcos rushed to the emergency room on March 22 after he had difficulty breathing.
That was the time he underwent a COVID-19 test.
He was advised to put himself on self quarantine.
