Former senator Bongbong Marcos on February 8 said he doubts if Vice President Leni Robredo was serious in their offer to sign a joint motion to withdraw any pending motions delaying the electoral protest against her.
The Ilocos Norte politiko made statement in a gathering with Marcos loyalists at the Supreme Court (SC).
“You conduct the business of a case that is before the Supreme Court at a pizza parlor is not a serious offer,” Marcos said.
Marcos was referring to Robredo’s lawyer Romulo Macalintal waiting for the defeated vice presidential candidate in a Malate restaurant to sign the joint motion.
But Robredo also on February 8 filed a motion before the SC, sitting as the Presidential Electoral Tribunal (PET), to withdraw all other motions delaying the electoral protest filed against her by former senator Bongbong Marcos.
