Senator Bongbong Marcos urged his supporters to remain calm amid another postponement of the ballot recount in connection to his electoral protest against Vice President Leni Robredo.
The Supreme Court, sitting as the Presidential Electoral Tribunal (PET), moved the ballot recount from March 19 to April 2.
The PET cited it still has to complete its staffing requirements for the ballot recount.
The Ilocos Norte politiko’s spokesperson, Vic Rodriguez, called the postponement “a setback.”
“While this may be a setback in the proceedings, we urge everyone to remain calm and be with us in prayers. Your tireless support is what keeps us going,” Rodriguez said.
