“An extremely rare white lion cubs has been born in Baluarte Zoo, Vigan, Ilocos Sur. On the 2nd week of November, the Baluarte
White lions gave birth to 4 beautiful and healthy
pure white lion cubs,” said Singson on Facebook.

He said the cubs’ fur are white not because they are albino but due to a recessive genetic variation.

With only 300 white lions worldwide, Singson said they are limiting human interaction with the cubs for now. But the public may see them when they get a bit older!

“Keepers at the Baluarte Zoo are limiting human interaction with the cub. They are requesting the public to be patient as to when they can see the cubs in captivity,” said Singson.
