Baguio City Mayor-elect Benjamin Magalong said President Rodrigo Duterte has vowed to give funding for the Summer Capital’s command center.
The command center is supposed to be the hub for traffic, peacekeeping, and disaster management in Baguio.
But the amount to be given has not been specified.
Magalong said the command center will be Baguio’s version of Davao City’s 911.
He said the command center will either be located at City Buildings and Architecture Office (CBAO) building or at the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (CDRRMC) building.
Magalong also said a team from Metro Manila and Davao City will inspect the proposed location for command center soon.
