The provincial government of Benguet said its main COVID-19 hospital and treatment center is now allocating 74% of its beds to active cases.

Dr. Meliarazon Dulay, Benguet General Hospital’s chief and the province’ Covid-19 point person, said that 111 out of the 150 bed capacity of the hospital are used either for COVID-19 positive patients or suspected cases.

“We cannot refuse any patient that is why we constantly adjusted,” she said.

She added that even normal wards were converted into isolation units and intensive care units just to keep up with the increasing number of hospitalizations.
