The Cordillera Regional Development Council (RDC-CAR) has endorsed the Bauko municipal government’s P362.1-million worth of infrastructure projects to the Office of the Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process (OPAPP) Payapa at masaganang Pamayanan (Pamana) fund support.
The RDC-CAR said Bauko is still threatened by communist rebels in its far-flung barangays.
Bauko Mayor Abraham Akilit requested the endorsement of the municipalities infrastructure projects last September.
Akilit said the infrastructure projects will address the causes of insurgency in Bauko.
Among the proposed infrastructure projects include the rehabilitation of Lao-ingan Adugan farm to market road, the rehabilitation and improvement of Balbalan Kwabeng FMR – P40M, the improvement of Bagnen Oriente-Gutang-Tap-eo via Market FMR, the construction and improvement of Bagnen Oriente via Suga FMR, and improvement of Pasbol Tiking Manyedyed FMR.
Akilit also requested the improvement of several agricultural and drainage infrastructure.
