The Bauko municipal government is studying the construction of a new multi-storey public market building.
Bauko Mayor Abraham Akilit said the new public market facility will help in elevating the status of the town.
The Mountain Province politiko said the municipal government is eyeing to use the property of the Episcopal Church of the Philippines for new market building.
“We want to maximize the potentials of our public market to generate income not only for the repayment of the cost of its construction, but also for the additional income for the municipality,” Akilit said.
He explained that the new market facility will “help increase our ability to generate added income for the improves delivery of basic services to our constituents.”
