Baguio to see decline in Dengue cases – City Health Services Office

Baguio City logged a downtrend in Dengue cases, the City Health Services Office reported.

In a management committee meeting, Dr. Rowena Galpo updated Baguio City Mayor Benjamin Magalong and city executives that the number of Dengue cases in the city is declining, following a seasonal and cyclical pattern similar to what happened last year.

According to her report, the city recorded 2,651 cases with four deaths fromJanuary 1 up to September 19 this year. She noted that numbers are expected to be on a downward trend until the end of the year.

However, Galpo reminded lgu officials not to be complacent and urged them to strengthen campaigns to lessen the cases of Dengue in the city.
