House Committee on Higher and Technical Education chairperson and Baguio City Rep. Mark Go and his wife Sol have tested positive for COVID-19.
Go said those who have direct and close contact with him and his wife for the past few days have been informed and advised to self-quarantine, monitor themselves, and get tested when symptoms arise.
“Contact tracing efforts are also being conducted by our city,” said Go in a Facebook post.
Go said he and his wife “are both feeling okay with mild symptoms and I’m confident through God’s grace that we will recover quickly.”
He said his team will continue to do their work in Congress and in his district office despite this challenge.
“I am quite in disbelief and I’m sure many families are experiencing the same disheartenment once the virus hits their homes, but this is the nature of COVID-19, which is why I appeal to everyone not to let your guards down. Let us keep ourselves healthy, follow safety protocols, and get our vaccinations to reduce the risk of severe illness and hospitalization,” he added.
During these trying times, Go said “let us pray in solidarity for healing, comfort, and grace for our entire nation.”
