Baguio City to celebrate ‘Marriage Week’ with renewal of vows

The Baguio City local government called for couples who want to renew their vows in a city-wide ceremony to be held on March 2.

According to local officials, married couples who have been together for at least 25 years may apply to participate in the event during the city’s “Marriage Week”, which aims to further strengthen family relationships.

Councilor Elmer Datuin, city council’s chairman of the social services, women and urban poor committee, said that “the celebration of marriage week is worldwide and the city’s celebration is anchored on Ordinance 10-2017 which states that there shall be a mass wedding, marriage counseling, seminars and workshops that must be part of the celebration to further promote the significance of marriage.”

The Politiko added that several activities are also to be announced soon.
