Baguio City Regional Trial Court has sentenced a female drug mule guilty of her charges, with a minimum of two years imprisonment.
Areeya Fernandez Damogo, 28, received her sentence on Monday, August 8 from Judge Lilibeth Sindayen-Libiran of Baguio City’s RTC Branch 61.
Librina also ordered Damogo to pay a P30,000 fine. She is also required to undergo six months of rehabilitation and 18 months of aftercare program related to drug use.
The drug suspect was arrested by the National Bureau of Investigation-Cordillera, together with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and Baguio City Police Office, in July 2021.
