Baguio City Councilor Leandro Yangot Jr. is proposing to charge tourists who will bring cars during travel.

The Politiko suggested charging a P50 ‘congestion fee’. He noted that the measure aims to help address the worsening traffic problem in the city.

“Traffic can at least be minimized or controlled to a tolerable level,” He added that fees will be put in a trust fund for programs and activities to mitigate traffic in the city.
