La Union Governor Rafy Ortega-David praised Ruben Lumague Jr., one of the provincial capitol’s security staff, for going “above and beyond” his duty to stop the fire that started at the LUPAC building several weeks ago.
In a Facebook post on Monday, August 8, the North Luzon politiko recalled how Lumague immediately used a fire extinguisher to stop the flames from spreading inside the building.
“I would like to recognize and commend one of PGLU’s security personnel, Mr. Ruben Lumague Jr., who went above and beyond his duty and showed malasakit not only for his organization, but also for his fellow employees!… Because of his initiative, the fire did not spread. Because of him, no major damages, casualties, nor injuries occurred,” said Ortega-David.
“Join me in celebrating an exemplary model of Love and La Union PROBINSYAnihan! You are our hero, Sir Ruben!” she added.
