Apayao placed under state of calamity due to ‘Quiel’

Apayao has been placed under state of calamity last November 8 due to the onslaught of Typhoon Quiel.

The province has been experiencing severe flooding due to the torrential rains brought by Quiel.

Two casualties have been reported.

Vice Governor Remy Albano said the casualties died after a landslide hit a house in Kabugao.

“We have two casualties—a board member from Calanasan and a member of the Philippine National Police who died in a landslide,” he said.
