Kalinga Representative Allen Jesse Mangaoang lauded President Rodrigo Duterte for finally signing into law the P3.75 trillion 2019 budget.
The Kalinga politiko said this will guarantee the implementation of the government’s priority projects.
But Mangaoang said he will still need to check if some projects for Kalinga and Mountain Province were among those included in Duterte’s partial veto of the P95 billion worth of projects for the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).
“We are optimistic that no funds earmarked for our priority projects in Kalinga and Mountain Province were vetoed by the President,” he said.
Mangaoang said the public works projects for the two provinces because “passed through the processes prescribed by the concerned government agencies in the identification of projects that will be provided funds in the annual budget of the national government.”
