Kalinga Representative Allen Jesse Mangaoang continues to push for the establishment of the Kalinga Heritage Museum and Cultural Center.
The Kalinga politiko refiled the bill in the 18th Congress.
Mangaoang said the Kalinga Heritage Museum and Cultural Center will serve to preserve the culture and heritage of the province by being the official repository of historical items and artifacts.
He also said the province was earlier declared as a tourism development area through Republic Act (RA) 10561.
“The absence of an official repository and institution have caused the Kalinga artefacts such as the highly prized Chinese jars of the Ming and Yan dynasties, the decorative bids and necklaces, the gold earrings and other traditional household items of the past to be found in the antique shops in Manila,” Mangaoang said.
