The Alaminos City government has started “looking into” purchasing coronavirus vaccines for its residents.
This was announced in a Facebook post by Mayor Bryan Celeste on Wednesday, January 13.
“Today, the City’s Finance Committee held a meeting for the possible procurement of the COVID-19 vaccine for Alaminos. We’re still looking into this but first, let us know a little bit about the vaccination and why it is necessary to keep our whole community safe,” he said.
Several local government units have already signed deals with British-Swedish COVID-19 vaccine manufacturer AstraZeneca.
