In line with ongoing government efforts to ensure quality medical care for all, ranking health and political officials formally opened the P150 million Outpatient Department Building of the Veterans Regional Hospital (VRH) in Barangay Magsaysay, Bayombong Friday, November 25.
Dr. Cirilo Galindez, VRH chief, recounted that the construction of the new building took two years to complete due to the introduction of modern architectural design.
Health Secretary Paulyn Jean Rosell-Ubial, along with her undersecretaries and assistant secretaries, graced the event, along with provincial officials and Bishop Ramon Villena.
Rep. Luisa Cuaresma and Gov. Carlos Padilla also led the groundbreaking of the proposed Training Center and Dialysis Building, tree planting and a health summit among health workers and officials of the province.
“This is a model structure because it is not tainted with corruption. I have seen many with the same worth but this is the best so far,” Ubial said.
She also encouraged health workers to take care of their patients well because this is why they are in the service.
