Abra quake death toll rises to 11

The death toll from the magnitude 7 earthquake that jolted Abra and North Luzon has climbed to 11, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) reported on Friday, August 5.

In its latest report, NDRRMC said that the latest fatality was a 59-year old male from Abra who died of brain injury after his house’s roof collapsed on him.

NDRRMC previously logged 10 deaths, 10 from the Cordillera Administrative Region and one from the Ilocos region.

A total of 410 people were also injured after the earthquake, according to NDRRMC.
