Four people have died, while eight others were injured after three vehicles collided along the National Highway in Gonzaga, Cagayan on Saturday, December 3.
Police Regional Office 2 has identified the victims as Donato and Marineth Barsatan, their seven-year old son, and their neighbor identified as Velvet Geron has died in the accident.
Based on police reports, an SUV driven by Rodolfo Batin collided with two tricycles at around 11 p.m. All passengers of both motorcycles were injured and were brought to the nearest hospital. Four of them have died while being treated.
The injured were identified as Mencho Soriano, 22, Lean Lei Pascua, 26, both residents of Brgy Ipil, Gonzaga town; Reymark Puli, 24, Marvie Barsatan, 35, Liam Clyde Barsatan, 4, Mark Jansen Barsatan, 9, Xian Kurt Barsatan, 8, Guillian Joe Torres, 8, all residents of Brgy Baua, Gonzaga, Cagayan.
The SUV driver surrendered to the authorities and is now facing a case of reckless imprudence resulting in multiple homicide, multiple physical injuries and damage to property.
