Baguio City Representative Mark Go takes being a “plantito” on a whole new level.
On Wednesday, July 29, the politiko told his Facebook followers that he has already planted 20 pine tree seedlings, two for each of his eight children and four for his wife.
That’s on top of the other trees that he and his wife planted a decade ago.
Go earlier filed House Bill Number 6930, which requires parents to plant two trees for every child born. The measure was already approved on second reading in the House.
“Thank you Baguio family for your commitment to the protection of our environment,” Go said.
“Let us do what we can not just to mitigate climate change but make our surroundings beautiful,” he added.
