A motorcycle rider and his passenger were killed, while a Grade 11 student was injured after a collision along the national highway in Rosario, La Union on Tuesday night, May 23.
Local policies identified the fatalities as Jeric Rocapor, 31, and Joseph Suyat. According to the investigation, the victims’ vehicle allegedly overlapped the lane and collided with two vehicles, a motorcycle driven by Grade 11 student Stanly Carpio, 16, and a tailing car at about 11:40 p.m.
Due to the impact, the victims were thrown off the motorcycle and sustained multiple serious injuries. They were rushed to the nearest hospital but were declared dead on arrival.
Meanwhile, Carpio sustained minor injuries and the occupants of the car were unhurt.
