The virus is spreading! Cagayan PIO warns vs fake account
Don’t believe their lies!
This was the callout made by the official Facebook page of the Cagayan Provincial Information Office (PIO) after discovering an account is pretending to be it on the social media website.
The official account of Cagayan’s politikos posted screenshot of the fake page and issued a warning their followers.
“Please avoid sharing and liking this page to prevent confusion and bringing inconvenience to our fellow Cagayanos who are in need and deserving of factual and prompt news and advisories,” said the Cagayan PIO.
It then asked it followers to report the fake account and “to avoid falling victims to fake news.”
Tama ‘yan. Don’t give a platform to the purveyors of fake news!
