Piñol vows industry rehab in mango stakeholders’ forum in Pangasinan
Department of Agriculture (DA) Secretary Emmanuel Piñol on August 11 said the national government is committed to rehabilitate the country’s mango industry.
Piñol was speaking at the Luzon Mango Stakeholders’ Forum hosted by the Pangasinan provincial government.
Pangasinan Governor Amado Espino III earlier vowed to help the national government not only in boosting the mango industry but also country’s agriculture sector.
Pangasinan is among the Philippines’ biggest mango producers, with around 38% of the country’s production coming from the province.
Piñol also asked mango farmers to support the national government’s five-year roadmap for the Philippines’ mango industry development.
