PDRRMC eyes 80kph speed limit in Cagayan
The Cagayan Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council (PDRRMC) is eyeing an 80-kilometers-per-hour speed limit for public utility vehicles (PUV) in the province
Cagayan Governor Manuel Mamba led the PDRRMC meeting.
The proposed speed limit comes after a vehicular accident in Amulung last October 1 killed seven and injured 16.
The usual causes of vehicular accidents in Cagayan are overspeeding, overloading, and reckless driving.
The PDRRMC is also proposing to limit the number of passengers in PUVs.
