Pangasinan retains checkpoints for poultry despite lifting of bird flu outbreak
Pangasinan will continue quarantine checkpoints for poultry products even if the bird flu outbreak in Pampanga and Nueva Ecija is over.
Provincial Veterinarian Eric Perez said the provincial government is just being cautious due to Pangasinan’s proximity to Nueva Ecija.
He also said this will ensure that the poultry supply will remain normal during the Christmas season.
Perez said checkpoints in Rosales, Umingan, Bayambang, Mangatarem, Infanta, San Fabian, and Sison will remain in place.
The bird flu outbreak earlier affected San Luis, Pampanga, and San Isidro and Jaen, Nueva Ecija.
