Pangasinan is pilot province for rural health training program
Two of the country’s top universities will be offering a rural health workers training program in collaboration with the Pangasinan provincial government.
The Provincial Health Office (PHO) on January 11 signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Ateneo de Manila University (ADMU) and University of the Philippines (UP) making Pangasinan as the pilot province for program.
Pangasinan was selected to be the pilot province for the Philippine e-Health Rural Health Workers Training (eHEART) on Massive Open Online Courses (MOOC) because of its “aggressive data management.”
Data gathered by Rural Health Units, Inter-Local Health Zones, and the Provincial Health Office will be used in the online courses.
The data will help in the advancement of health development of local governments.#
