Pangasinan is most improved province in Region I in 2017 competitiveness index

The Pangasinan provincial government on November 10 has been recognized as the “Most Improved Province” in Region I during the regional awarding of 3rd Cities and Municipalities Competitiveness Index (CMCI).

Pangasinan climbed four places from 28th overall in 2016 to 24th overall in 2017.

La Union ranked second, Ilocos Sur third, and Ilocos Norte fourth in the regional awards.

The CMCI ranks the country’s most competitive local government units (LGU) in four categories: economic dynamism, government efficiency, infrastructure, resiliency.

Several Pangasinan LGUS were also awarded by the CMCI for 2017 including Tayug, San Quintin, Calasiao, Mangaldan, Dagupan City, and San Carlos City.
