Padilla applauds Nueva Vizcaya rescue for bus crash efforts
Nueva Vizcaya Governor Carlos Padilla commended the province’s rescue team for assisting in the Nueva Ecija bus crash rescue operations.
“Bago naghiwa-hiwalay ang mga volunteers, humiling sila na maka photo ops ang inyong lingkod. In spite of their hardwork and sacrifice under the scorch of the sun and the risk involved mukhang hindi sila nabahala at napagod,” Padilla bared on a Facebook post.
“Every body went home satisfied for a ‘job well done,'” he added.
At least 29 were killed and dozens were injured after a Leomarick Trans bus plunged into a ravine in Carranglan, Nueva Ecija on Tuesday, April 18.
The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) has since issued a preventive suspension order against the operator of Leomarick Trans.
The Nueva Vizcaya politiko called the rescue volunteers “heroes” for responding to the call of duty.
