Mayor Salda: Due process followed in approval of revised La Trinidad revenue code
La Trinidad Mayor Romeo Salda insisted that the new municipal revenue code underwent due process before being approved.
The Benguet politiko said the new revenue code is valid.
“This revenue code have passed the process with consultation and was favorably reviewed by the Sangguniang Panlalawigan,” Salda said.
Petitioners recently filed an appeal before the Department of Justice (DOJ) seeking to scrap La Trinidad’s revised revenue code.
“We have explained to them the revenue code, they have filed the complaint to DOJ, we’ll see what the local government will be doing,” Salda said.
He also said the city government has not yet received the petitioners’ complaint.
