Mayor Domogan vows ‘appropriate’ assistance to Mayon victims
Baguio City Mayor Mauricio Domogan on February 9 vowed to send assistance to victims of the Mayon Volcano eruption.
But the Baguio politiko explained that the city government is still waiting for the Department of Social Welfare and Development’s (DSWD) recommendations on what kind of assistance to provide.
“We will surely send the local government’s assistance to the victims of the eruption of Mayon volcano,” he said.
“We are simply awaiting the recommendations of the social welfare department on the priority needs of the victims, so that the city will be able to provide its assistance to what the calamity victims direly need,” Domogan said.
He said appropriate aid is as valuable as timely assistance.
