Baguio City Mayor Mauricio Domogan hit 2019 candidates for early campaigning.

The Baguio politiko said some barangay officials have complained about a local political group doing early campaigning.

The barangay officials said candidates interrupted their assemblies by introducing themselves.

Domogan said early campaigning affects the credibility of public assemblies.

“As incumbent city officials, we are obliged to discuss the various programs and projects of the local government to the different barangay assemblies being done in the city but we are wondering why there is a certain political group that goes around the barangays and do early campaigning activities that obviously affect the integrity of the assemblies being done that is why people are now aware on what kind of officials will they become in the future,” he said.
