Mayor Domogan orders cleanup of Baguio’s sewers in time for Panagbenga

Feb 14, 2018 @ 11:28

Baguio City Mayor Mauricio Domogan has ordered a cleanup of the Summer Capital’s sewage system.

The Baguio politiko said the move will prevent foul odor from coming out from the sewers during the 23rd Panagbenga Festival.

Domogan said residents have been reporting the maladorous smell emanating from Baguio’s sewers.

“We have to make sure that residents and visitors attending the highlights of the flower festival should not be inconvenienced by the foul odor emanating from the city’s sewer lines while they are enjoying the festive mood,” Domogan said.

He also called on restaurants to properly dispose used oil.

Domogan said oil should not be disposed in the sewers because it contributes to the foul odor.
