Mayor Domogan: No discrimination against ‘Muslims’ in Baguio

Oct 11, 2017 @ 16:12

Baguio City Mayor Mauricio Domogan said immigrants from Mindanao are not being targeted by authorities because of their ethnic or religious backgrounds.

The Baguio politiko said the police or the city government do not discriminate in implementing the law.

Domogan urged immigrants from Mindanao provinces to stop playing the victim card or say they are being targeted by authorities because they are “Muslims.”

“Bakit ‘pag hinuhuli ang Igorot sa ibang lugar, wala namang sinasabing hinuli kami dahil Igorot kami,” Domogan said.

The Baguio City mayor earlier said he asked the police to profile students of Islamic schools for security reasons.
