Mayor Domogan, Mayor Rivera eye settlement of boundary dispute

Aug 14, 2018 @ 16:43

Baguio City Mayor Mauricio Domogan and Tuba Mayor Ignacio Rivera are finally looking to settle the boundary dispute between the two local government units (LGU).

Domogan said he and Ignacio have agreed to have their legal teams meet and explore legal means to settle the dispute.

“Mayor Rivera and I both do not want the issue to be blown out of proportion so we just agreed that he will accompany their legal officer to meet with our city legal officer to discuss the actions that will be taken to resolve the matter once and for all,” Domogan said.

Among the proposed measures is that the Baguio city property where the Tuba municipal hall is located will be given to Tuba.

Tuba, meanwhile will cede to Baguio City a part of the Santo Tomas road area leading to the Mount Santo Tomas forest reservation.
