Mayor Domogan lauds DPWH undersecretary for P180M budget for convention center rehab
Baguio City Mayor Mauricio Domogan lauded Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Undersecretary Maria Catalina Cabral for her role in the funding the rehabilitation of the Baguio Convention Center.
The Baguio politiko said the P180 million funding for the convention center rehab would not have been possible if not for Cabral.
“We have to give the appropriate credit to whoever provided the assistance to the local government for the inclusion of the funds in next year’s budget because it will be a great help in starting the rehabilitation and upgrading of the convention center to be at part with other convention facilities in the different parts of the country,” Domogan said.
During her previous visit to the Summer Capital, Cabral supposedly asked Domogan which projects should be prioritized for funding by the national government.
Funding for the convention center rehab has long been delayed.
Domogan also said Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque and Baguio Representative Mark Go were instrumental in getting budget allocation for the project.#
