Mayor Domogan: Criticisms part of job as Baguio chief

Feb 14, 2018 @ 11:57

Baguio City Mayor Mauricio Domogan said criticisms are part of his job as a public official.

The Baguio politiko made the remark after one of the members of the Hotel and Restaurant Association of Baguio (HRAB) supposedly made some negative comments about him.

The comments supposedly criticized his handling of the preparations for the Panagbenga Festival.

“We have to treat the matter with a grain of salt. We do not want to allow the situation to worsen but we have to personally talk to the concerned individual to clarify things before we make a public pronouncement on the matter,” Domogan said.

He also added that he will just continue working as city mayor.

“We should not be detracted by such petty things because we have to address more pressing problems of the city rather than engage every individual to an exchange of unsavoury remarks because we will not go down to their level,” Domogan said.
