Mayor Domogan asks for extension for his choice for Baguio police chief
Baguio City Mayor Mauricio Domogan wants a 10-day extension for his choice for the next police chief of the Summer Capital.
The Baguio politiko cited the recent onslaught of Typhoon Ompong for his request for extension.
The Police Regional Office of the Cordillera (PRO-COR) had earlier given Domogan a shortlist for the Baguio City police chief post.
“We will not return the shortlist but what we will request from the PNP leadership is to grant the local government another ten days extension to submit the recommended next BCPO City Director to allow us to undergo the screening process pursuant to what had been done in the selection of previous BCPO chiefs,” he said.
Those in the shortlist are Ifugao Provincial Police Office officer-in-charge David Peredo, Senior Superintendent Agustin Juan Tello, Senior Superintendent Giovani Maines, PRO-COR regional intelligence chief Senior Superintendent Elmer Ragay, and former BCPO City Director Senior Superintendent George Daskeo.
